Trigger warning: The KKK just endorsed Trump. I’m posting their endorsement for people to read, because I think it is important to understand why there is such a proliferation of hate groups endorsing him.
TLDR is that hearkening back to the time when America was “great” increases his support among those groups who wax nostalgic about a time when racist and bigoted policies weren’t seen as wrong among much of society. When people who have historically been oppressed hear “Make America Great Again,” it shouldn’t be a surprise that they think back on the same times, but associate very different emotions with it. “Make America Great Again” is a slogan that has drawn in a tremendous amount of alt-right voters that want to go back to a time where people of color, LGBT people, and women were unfairly treated…and a Trump Presidency seems to have (and I believe, has) the potential to reverse a lot of progress in these areas.
“Make America Great Again!” It is a slogan that has been repeatedly used by Donald Trump in his campaign for the presidency. You can see it on shirts, posters, buttons, and ball caps such as the one being worn here by Trump speaking at a recent campaign rally [accompanying the article is the aforementioned photo]. Trump evidently anticipated his run for the presidency long before anyone was whispering Trump and President in the same sentence.
Just 6 days after Obama won his second term against Mitt Romney, Trump applied to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the exclusive right for use of the slogan. On November 11, 2012 Trump received the application number 1207224. I am not sure how many people this slogan resonates with, but evidently there was enough to allow Trump to win the Republican primary. The slogan appeals to people who are sadly realizing that something has happened to America. And it’s not good!
The desire to make America great again touches at the very heart of Americans who are having a harder and harder time identifying with this new American image. A recent Reuters News poll says that 58% of Americans feel they no longer identify with this “new” America. And 53% say they feel like a stranger in their own country. And while they feel like strangers the reality is that it is strangers which have invaded our land and now dictate to us policies which are foreign to our traditions, our spirit and our faith.
Who would have thought that the day would come upon us when the White House would be lit aglow with the colors of the rainbow promoting the program of the vile homosexual agenda? Who would have thought that same-sex marriage would be legally (thus forcibly) placed upon us? And while it is both loathsome and vile to witness this deplorable change which has taken place, it becomes even more alarming when we see this “life style” being imposed on our tiny children.
President Obama has ordered through the Justice Department that all bathrooms in the public schools must now be gender neutral. The Tick Tock of this vile immorality clock has been inching toward this day for many years.
Over the past 50 years we have seen the cultural morals of our people completely gutted. There is no perversion that is not now fully embraced. Sexual deviants like Bruce Jenner are praised for their courage, while a White Nationalist who sys nothing more than “Love your People!” is treated like the scum of the earth that society (especially our kids) must be protected from. Wholesome understandings of race and gender have been totally turned around and we are in that day spoken of in Scripture when evil will be called good and good will be called evil.
The Bible correctly identifies us as a wicked and perverse generation. Yet it is in this generation in which we were born. For what ever reason, this is the hour when the God of Destiny placed your feet to walk the earth.
“Make America Great Again” is a catchy slogan and we are beginning to see and hear it everywhere. But can it happen? Can America really be great gain? That is what we will soon find out! While Trump wants to make America great again, we have to ask ourselves, “What made America great in the first place?” The short answer is simple: America was great not because of what our forefathers did – but because of who our forefathers were. America was founded as a White Christian Republic. And as a White Christian Republic it became great. In fact, it became the greatest country in the history of the world. America offered political liberty through self-government and it offered financial liberty through a free market system. Making America great again however is not dependent on a Trump presidency but whether you and I can regain the spirit of our forefathers. I am afraid most conservatives (including Trump) have no understanding of this racial time bomb that is ticking. We are living among people who have been disconnected from the spirit, values, morals and faith of our forefathers. Every year that passes, this disconnection becomes wider. And that places a great challenge before us. We are in that day spoken of by the prophet Malachi when it tells us that in this final day as White Genocide seems to be closing its jaws upon our people forever that God will send forth his ministry that will close the disconnection, and will strengthen those who have become “orphaned.” It will turn the hearts of children to the fathers and the hearts of fathers to the children. If America is truly to become great gain we must once again learn to Love our God and Love our People.
